And down below, are some more awesome clothing fix hacks that’ll save you so much time, effort, and money. They’ll also lengthen the life of your favorite outfits and make your life a bit easier. So check them out and let me know what you think!
Use a Safety Pin to Reinsert a Drawstring
It happens to all of us when we wash and dry a hoodie or sweatpants. So to easily fix this drawstring problem, try attaching a safety pin to the end of the string and pull it back through. You’ll save so much time and effort with this simple trick.
Get Rid of Sweat Stains with Lemon
Lemon juice is a great natural agent in removing armpit discoloration. All you have to do is squeeze some lemon on the stained area and let it sit for about 10-20 minutes before washing.
Freeze Chewing Gum Off Your Jeans
In case you accidentally sit on some chewing gum, put your pants in a ziplock bag and leave your jeans in the freezer overnight. This will harden the gum making it brittle and easier to remove.
In the morning, remove the pants from the freezer and start scraping off the gum. You can use a dull blade or kitchen knife to get rid of it completely. Wash with warm water after and it’ll look like new again.
Cover an Underwire That’s Poking Out
If you find yourself getting poked in the chest by an annoying underwire, get a moleskin adhesive, cover over the wire, and quickly fix your favorite bra.
Unstuck a Stuck Zipper with Crayon
Did you know that by simply rubbing a crayon on both sides of your stuck zipper, you can easily save your favorite jacket? It’s because crayons are made of wax which are a great lubricant.
Paint Clear Nail Polish Over a Loose Button
If you’re in a hurry and you find that your shirt’s button is loose, get clear nail polish and apply some to the button for an easy fix. This will temporarily stop it from unraveling so there’s no need to sew a new button on yet.
Remove Grease From Clothes with Dishwashing Soap
When it comes to clothing stains, grease seems to be the trickiest one to remove. However, with regular dishwashing soap, you can easily lift oil stains from your favorite outfits.
All you have to do is apply it directly to the stained area and brush with a soft toothbrush. Wash with warm water after and the stain will be gone.
Repair a Leather Jacket with Lotion
With overtime use, leather jackets tend to fade and get scuffs. So to easily fix them, take a soft cloth, put lotion on your leather, and massage it into the damaged area. This will replenish and moisturize the leather fibers making it look new once again.
Avoid Creases from Wire Hangers
Instead of buying those expensive felt hangers, why not make your own crease free hangers? All you have to do is insert a pool noodle over your wire hanger and you’re done!
Stop Pilling from Clothes using a Razor Blade
All you need is a razor blade to easily get rid of pilling on your clothes. Just lay your clothes on a flat surface, run the razor blade over the outfit softly, and it’ll simply shave them off.
