In a couple of months, it’s officially summer! It’s that time of the year again where the days are longer and that means it’s the perfect time to try something new and make amazing memories.
Sounds exciting right? So to help you make the most of your break, I’ve created a summer bucket list down below. These are ideas that you can do on your vacation, out of town visit, or even at home. They’re easy, fun, and exciting activities that will make this year’s summer the best summer ever. So check them out and let me know what you think!
Try Mountain Biking
With beautiful, majestic mountain ranges as your backdrop, you’ll find mountain biking an exciting activity perfect for summertime. Ride on and off-road trails and hit the downhill trails, it’s such a great way to be out in nature and experience great weather.
Just be sure to wear proper gear!
Jam Out at Musical Festival
You can find plenty of music festivals or concerts during the summer season. And the good thing is that some of them require no fee at all. So take a trip to the nearest city or have fun with concerts in your park.
Fly a Kite
Have some child-like fun and fly a kite to celebrate the last few days of summer. You can find plenty of kites at the dollar store with different sizes and designs. Go to an open field and let it take off.
Take a Road Trip
Celebrate sunshine and take a road trip. Plan ahead of time or simply hit the open road and see where it takes you. Who knows, you might discover hidden gems you could come back to another time.
You can also take a road trip to the beach. I don’t care how far away it is, get a group of friends and head to the coast. You can make amazing memories while driving there and when you arrive.
Sleep Under the Stars
Camp out, light a bonfire, sit back, and look at the stars. Is there anything better than sleeping under the night sky?
Grow Some Seasonal Produce
Instead of spending your summer on Netflix, try growing seasonal produce and an herb garden. Many of them are low maintenance and nothing tastes better or fresher than in-season produce.
Take an Afternoon Nap
Sleep is rewarding. It improves your health and charges your productivity. So take advantage of your free time and make it a habit to take an afternoon nap. You’ll be missing these once everything is back to normal.
Visit an Amusement Park
Here’s something perfect for the young and young at heart. Take a weekend and visit an amusement park. Ride a roller coaster or Ferris wheel, stay late into the night, and don’t eat healthy. Make it last.
See a Movie in the Park
One of the easiest ways to meet new friends and have fun this summer is by seeing a movie in the park. Check out your local event’s calendar and a catch-free movie.
It feels so good to be out in the cool summer night air, food truck meal in hand, and watching a great movie.
Watch a Sunset
I think, watching a sunset is one the most beautiful ways to end a day. Especially in a more natural surrounding like beaches or mountains, they’re the best place to enjoy the golden hour. Bring a blanket, sit back, and appreciate the majesty of this awesome view.
Sumer is so much more than just having lazy days and sleeping the mornings away. They’re about taking advantage of the moment, doing things you’ve never done before, and doing things you can only do in the summer. So try these bucket list ideas with your friends or family and make the most of the summer months.
