It seems like everyone says that having a college degree is the best way to get into high-paying jobs. But did you know that even without a degree, there’s still a chance to earn really good money? They’re called side hustles. They’re the jobs you can do outside of the 9-5, so you can quit your day job once you start making more with your side hustle.
These are jobs that not only bring in money but also allow you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home. With just some skills and qualifications, you can get a job online and start earning money. They’re great options you can do where you want and when you want.
Fill Out Online Surveys
You can find plenty of survey sites online, but I suggest trying Survey Junkie since they are a legitimate site. All you have to do is give your opinion or insight on their products or services. After taking the surveys, they’ll pay you cash via Paypal. Super easy right?
Start a Blog
This is one of my favorite side hustle because it’s what I do full-time. I’ve been able to make over $18,335.87 from blogging in just a month.
If you’re planning on starting your blog, it’s actually a great way to make scalable income.
If you want more information, you can check out my step-by-step guide on how to start a blog and also check out “How to Come up with a Blog Name” if you need help with that too!
We get most of our visitors to our site from Pinterest and Google Search. Here’s how we use Pinterest to bring in visitors, and here’s a good review to an SEO course we personally bought that helped us learn how to bring in visitors from Google Search.
Be an Amazon Affiliate
If you start a blog, a great way to monetize it is by being an Amazon affiliate. You promote someone else’s product on your site and get paid for it. Whenever someone buys the product through your link, you’ll get a commission.
We learned all about how to do this by taking an affiliate marketing course called Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing (click to read our review of the course.)
Sell Stock Photos
Instead of storing your amazing photos on your computer, why not sell them online and make money from it? Sites like iStockPhoto and Shutterstock, are always looking for contributors who get paid every time their photo is purchased. So turn your photos into cash and increase your income.
Tutor Online
If you’re good at academics or foreign languages, put these skills to good use and tutor online. You can earn $20-$50 per session in the comfort of your home. Impressive right? (A great place to start is iTalki!)
Edit Videos
If you’re creative and can edit videos, then definitely try this side hustle and earn from home. There’s a great demand for quality video editors nowadays whether for businesses or individuals. It really is a great way to work from anywhere!
Be a Virtual Assistant
Make money in the comfort of your home by being a Virtual Assistant. All you need is a computer, a good internet connection, and the patience to do a list of tasks. Your job will require you to do day-to-day duties that help your client’s business to run efficiently.
Be a Social Media Manager
Do you enjoy social media sites like Facebook and Instagram? Then you might want to try this side hustles out and help companies to increase their social media presence by managing their social media accounts. It’s fun and can boost your income over time.
Become a Vlogger
Whether you want to create video blogs about lifestyle, travel, food, or something else, being a vlogger (especially right now) has the potential to make good money.
You can start by using your smartphone, upload your videos to your Youtube channel, get subscribers, and monetize from ads and sponsorships.
Airbnb Your Home
If you have a spare room in your house, rent it out by listing it on Airbnb. You can earn a lot of money if you take good photos of your space and make it very appealing to potential customers.
Also, if you have unused space in your garage, rent it out. Sites like Air Garage help people rent out their garage and driveway space. Depending on your location, you can earn a good amount of money from this.
Seriously, getting a well paying job doesn’t always require a degree, there are plenty of side hustle ideas that you can start. Depending on what skills and capabilities you have, and what you’re willing to learn, you can start to work from home or anywhere. So choose one or more of these side hustles and start earning money!
